As you can see we have had an incredible year in Flamingos' Class. The children have worked hard and applied themselves enthusiastically to all opportunities for learning and improving skills in all subjects.
Well done everyone - another exciting year awaits. Good luck for September.
This term the Flamingos will be completing lots of arts based workshops with the new team from Kettlesyard. Two artists have attended the school already and the children even visited the new art gallery for themselves and looked around the space and did a session all on printing. All of the work completed by the Flamingos will actually be on show in an exhibition at the start of June so please come along and see all of their hard work.
Our collaboration with the Perse School gave us an amazing opportunity to visit the Space Centre in Leicester. It was an amazing day to close our Space topic and explore our solar system in a practical way. The Perse year 10 students guided the children around the centre helping them to discover more about our fascinating universe.
The year 5 pupils sharpened their computer skills by attending a coding discovery day at Cambridge Makespace. The Makespace team introduced the children to Scratch: a programming language that allowed them to create interactive stories and games. The kids took to the day with great enthusiasm and watching them learn and create through using these tools was inspiring.
Our Spring Term has given us many opportunities to explore new and exciting activities, here are a few examples of what we have been up to.
Our Autumn Term has been very busy. Take a look at some examples of the amazing work we have been doing since the beginning of the term.
Here are some of our finished projects... wonderful work.
